Remove Ransomware WannaCry Windows 7

This is how to remove this ransomware.

  1. Remove SMB v1 from Control Panel, there are 2 ways to do it. 
    1. Open CMD and Run as Administrator, write "sc.exe config lanmanworkstation depend= bowser/mrxsmb20/nsi" enter then write "sc.exe config mrxsmb10 start= disabled" enter.
    2. From control panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn windows futures on or off -> find SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support, if exist uncheck the box.
  2. After removing SMB v1 from both way, restart your Windows 7.
  3. Update your Anti Virus, any of your anti virus. If you have none at least use Windows Defender, it is default installed in every Windows PC. Update and scan your entire data.
  4. For Windows above XP please update your windows.
